Benjamin Goodman was a healthy, 32 year old stage hand living in New York. Goodman graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 2014. He began working in the jurisdiction with his father, Jeff, at NBC that year and later at The Lion King and Wicked on Broadway. He was presently working at NBC and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert at CBS Studio 50.
Mr. Goodman decided to get the Johnson & Johnson Covid Vaccine on Saturday March 13, 2021 at a local Walgreens in Chelsea, New York, against the wishes of the rest of his family. Shortly thereafter, he complained of a severe headache and felt ill. After trying to sleep it off, his fiancée, Lindsay Janisse woke up at 4am to find Benjamin having seizures and called 911.
Paramedics arrived on the scene to Mr. Goodman in cardiac arrest and were unsuccessful in their attempts to revive him on the scene. He was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 6:05am Sunday morning.
